The Thai team struggled to improve their position in the second set, as Japan employed effective slaps and drops to secure a 25-19 victory. With Japan leading 2-0, the “Emergency Coach” made player substitutions, bringing in Wipawee Srithong and Jarasporn Bantasak from the start. The Thai team’s performance improved momentarily, but Japan swiftly regained control to win the set 25-23. Head coach Danai Sriwacharamethakul conceded that Japan thoroughly prepared their team and effectively countered the Thai team’s strategies. Anticipating a challenging match against China, Sriwacharamethakul emphasized the need for his team to give their all on the court.
