The Bank of Thailand issued measures 21 to help NPL debtors up to 2 years, paying the principal amount of 1,000 baht/month for the first 8 months.

GH Bank has prepared measures 21 [M 21] For helping customers with NPL status or customers with NPL status who are in the process of applying for assistance measures or customers who are in the process of debt restructuring of the Bank. to be able to use special interest rates and low installment payments for a maximum period of 2 years or from July 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024

by dividing the assistance into Months 1-8 Pay in installments at only 1,000 baht per installment, with interest equal to 0% per annum (cut off all principal payments) Month 9-16 Calculate installment from interest rate of 1.99% per year (in case of remaining principal amount 1 million baht, installment = 1,800 baht) 17-20th month Calculate the installment from the interest rate of 3.90% per annum (in case of the remaining principal amount is 1 million baht, the installment = 3,500 baht)

and21st – 24th month Calculate the installment from the interest rate MRR-2% per annum (in case of the remaining principal amount is 1 million baht, the installment = 3,700 baht) (currently the interest rate MRR BOI is 6.150% per annum). Determined to continue to write off the customer’s accrued interest (if any)

Such measures will be effective from 1 July 2022 onwards. (The measure will take effect in the month following the month of registration to participate in the measure)

For customers who are eligible for the M 21 measure, namely customers who have borrowed money with the bank for at least 1 year and have NPL status (more than 3 consecutive months of repayment) or customers who have NPL status and are in the process of using Bank’s assistance measures or is in the process of debt restructuring with the bank (Will be waived from the original measures when switching to this measure) and must be customers who have been affected by the income from the COVID-19 epidemic.

In this regard, NPL status customers can register to request measures via Application: GHB ALL and bank branches nationwide. From June 28 – December 31, 2022 by submitting evidence of income impact from occupation / business / trade Due to the spread of COVID-19, such as a certificate of reduction of date/time/salary/wage or was terminated by the agency/employer, etc., to the bank to consider as well.
