Kochi: Fuel prices continue to rise, leaving people in dire straits. Petrol price will be hiked by 87 paise per liter and diesel by 84 paise tomorrow. With this, in Kochi, petrol will cost Rs 114.2 and diesel Rs 101.11. In Thiruvananthapuram, petrol will cost Rs 116.33 and diesel Rs 103, while in Kozhikode petrol will cost Rs 114.5 and diesel Rs 101.42.
In the last two weeks, petrol has gone up by Rs 9.59 per liter and diesel by Rs 9.26 per liter. The price hike comes after five state elections. The sharp rise in oil prices comes on the heels of rising international oil prices.
