This year’s April 30 and May 1 holiday lasts 5 days (from April 27 to May 1), so people’s travel demand increases at bus stations and train stations in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport requests bus stations to implement plans to serve passengers, and regularly discuss with bus stations at the beginning of the route in the provinces to promptly update the traffic situation. The Department also assigned the Department Inspectorate to coordinate with competent agencies to ensure road transport safety and at yards.

At Mien Tay Bus Station, it is estimated that on peak days, it serves about 61,300 passengers and more than 2,000 buses depart, an increase of more than 120% of passengers compared to normal days. To ensure traffic safety, security and order, bus stations also arrange personnel and mobilize means of transport appropriately to quickly relieve passengers when necessary.

Mien Tay Bus Station proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport coordinate with localities in the Western provinces to distribute traffic on main roads so that people can move smoothly and safely.
