Popular singer Baekga, a member of the renowned group DB Koyote, recently voiced his frustrations over the behavior of some workers.

During a guest appearance on SBS Power FM’s ‘Doo O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show’ on the 27th, Baekga shared his experiences with employees from the MZ generation.

He revealed, “As a business owner, I have hired many individuals from the MZ generation. One day, three of my workers unexpectedly stopped showing up at our cafe in Jeju Island, causing a considerable disruption. It left us with no choice but to temporarily close the shop.” He added, “The following night, I received a call from one of the workers, casually mentioning that they had gone to ‘the beach to play.'”

Baekga further explained, “When I questioned why they would visit a beach when they already had a job at hand, they simply replied, ‘I wanted to go swimming.’ This led to the employee ultimately giving up on their responsibilities.”

Upon hearing Baekga’s account, DJ Kim Tae-gyun noted, “It is disheartening to see some individuals taking advantage of the MZ generation’s reputation for being irresponsible.”

Baekga also disclosed, “(When an employee quits), I am obligated to provide compensation. When I asked the worker how much they expected to receive, they nonchalantly replied, ‘I will consult with the Labor Office.'”

DJ Kim Tae-gyun expressed his confusion, stating, “That amount doesn’t seem substantial.” Another guest, Nam Ho-yeon, chimed in, saying, “The MZ generation is known for their confidence, hard work, and ability to express their opinions.”

Baekga currently oversees a successful café spanning an impressive 5,000 pyeong in Jeju Island.
