Malappuram: Two children died after falling into a pond in Tirur, Malappuram. Amansayan(4) son of Naushad Najla couple behind Kavungaparamp in Thrikandiyur LIC and Fatima Riya(3) daughter of Rasheed and Raihanath couple in Parappuram Illathuparampi fell to death in Peringollan pond near Anganavadi in Thrikandyur.
They are both neighbour’s children. It was concluded that he may have accidentally fallen into the pool when he went out to play. The children were dead by the time the family arrived when they noticed the children were missing. The bodies were first seen by women who came to bathe in the pool. They themselves took the children out. The bodies are currently in the Tirur District Hospital Mortuary. He will be released to his relatives after a post-mortem tomorrow.
