Consequently, alternative arrangements for the wheelchair basketball competition were made in consultation with Mr. Chatchart Sittiphan, the Governor of Bangkok. Expressing deep concern, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Miss Sudawan Wang Suphakit Koson, urged the SAT to prioritize the well-being of the injured and extend every possible assistance to athletes and the organizing committee.
To rectify the situation, an order has been issued to temporarily close the venue and conduct a thorough inspection to comply with international safety standards. Simultaneously, the SAT is actively coordinating with the sports engineering department and relevant external parties to address the matter at hand.
