The death of Yemeni preacher Abdul Majeed Al-Zindani in an Istanbul hospital

The Yemeni scholar and member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Abdul Majeed Al-Zindani, died on Monday in an Istanbul hospital, at the age of 82, according to what his son Muhammad announced on the X platform.

Al-Zindani, founder of Al-Iman University in Yemen, founder of the International Authority for Scientific Miracles in the Qur’an and Sunnah in Mecca, and head of the Shura Council of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party.

Many Islamic scholars and bodies mourned Sheikh Al-Zindani, former head of the Yemeni Scholars Association.

There were many statements of obituary and condolence for the death of Sheikh Al-Zindani, former head of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, from scholars, politicians, and media professionals.

Al-Zindani was born in 1942 in the village of Al-Dhahabi in the Al-Sha’ar District of Ibb Governorate in Yemen. He received his initial education in Al-Kuttab during the Imamate rule, then moved to Aden and completed formal studies there. He also studied in Egypt, obtained a degree in Islamic law from Al-Azhar University, and returned to Yemen after the 1967 revolution and participated in political work.
