Today (15th) is the opening day after the Lunar New Year. Wu Zheng, spokesperson of the Democratic Progressive Party, announced a new round of personnel for the Central Party Department. Li Wen, chairman of the Party Department of Lianjiang County, will take over as director of the International Affairs Department and concurrently serve as spokesperson. In addition, former Taipei City Councilor Jiang Zhiming, who was announced before the New Year as director of the Social Movement Department, also officially reported for office today.

Today (15th) is the first working day after the Lunar New Year. Vice President Lai Qingde, who is also the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party, went to various offices of the Party Central Committee to pay New Year greetings to party workers in the afternoon and gave out red envelopes for starting work. The Democratic Progressive Party also announced a new year The central party department in Poland is in charge of personnel.

DPP spokesperson Wu Zheng said that Party Chairman Lai Qingde continues to promote party affairs reform. In terms of personnel arrangements for the Party Central Committee, in addition to announcing two new deputy secretaries-general before the Lunar New Year, it was announced today that Li Wen will take over as director of the International Affairs Department and Also serves as spokesperson.

Wu Zheng said that Li Wen not only has excellent academic qualifications, but also served as a reporter for the Taipei Times, served as a policy staff in the International Department, and served in the National Security Diplomatic Unit. He is an outstanding young professional in this field. The DPP hopes to leverage Li Wen’s professional experience in national security diplomacy to promote party diplomacy, exchanges between think tanks and scholars, and combine the power of civil society groups to promote international exchanges among civil society.

In addition, Wu Zheng also said that former Taipei City Councilor Jiang Zhiming, who was announced before the New Year as the director of the Social Movement Department, also officially reported for office today. Jiang Zhiming, who has served as a local councilor for many times, hopes to use his rich local experience in the past to continue to interact with national associations, deepen dialogue with various industries and industries in society, solicit suggestions from all walks of life, and build consensus and support from all walks of life.

Wu Zheng emphasized that the DPP’s party affairs directors have been in place one after another, and will continue to carry out party affairs reforms in three major aspects including organizational transformation, community communication, and social dialogue in the future to respond to society’s expectations for the DPP and the new ruling team.
