The flame of the Holy Light arrives from Jerusalem to Beirut Airport to be distributed to the churches of Lebanon

The flame of the Holy Light from the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem arrived at Beirut International Airport to be distributed to the churches of Lebanon.

The Secretary-General of the Orthodox Gathering, Marwan Abu Fadel, pointed out in a speech upon the arrival of the flame of the Holy Light at Beirut Airport, that “it is not possible to pass such a day in which the Holy Light overflowed without remembering the children of Palestine who are being killed again at the hands of Herod, and we cannot Also, get over the Orthodox who are being killed because of the ridiculous war between Russia and Ukraine.” He said: “Orthodoxy has become a global condition.”

He concluded: “Regarding the issue of the presidency, whoever does not know what to do, we know what to do.”

Prayers were offered to the flame of the Holy Light at the airport by priests and clerics who accompanied the flame, which was received by MP Ghassan Hasbani, the Governor of Beirut, Marwan Abboud, the Commander of the Airport Security Service, Brigadier General Fadi Al-Kafouri, and political, religious and social figures.

The holy light had flowed from the tomb of the Lord Christ in the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem, and the torch of the holy light was transferred to the governorates of Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Bethlehem, Jericho, the Jordan Valley, Nablus and Jenin. Then to Jordan before being transferred to Lebanon.

The flood of light is a miracle that occurs every year in the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday or Holy Saturday, which is the day that comes after Good Friday and precedes Resurrection Sunday or Easter. It is considered by many to be one of the most authenticated miracles throughout the Christian world. The miracle was documented for the first time in 1106 AD. It was mentioned before this date, but intermittently.
