The Governor of Giza visits the Diocese of North Giza to offer congratulations on the glorious occasion of Easter

Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, this Sunday morning, visited the Diocese of North Giza on Bahr El Ghazal Street in Agouza, in order to offer congratulations on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection, where he was received by His Eminence Bishop John, Bishop of the Diocese of North Giza.

The governor extended his congratulations to the Christian brothers on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection, stressing that Muslims and Christians are one indivisible entity and fabric, bound by bonds of love, brotherly relations, and patriotism, noting that Egypt, with its strong national fabric, is capable of facing the challenges and difficulties that the world is going through.

During the visit

He said during his speech that the Egyptians set the most wonderful examples in a scene that is repeated every year during their celebration of Muslim and Christian holidays. There is no difference between them and they are united by one goal, which is for our country to overcome difficulties and challenges. He called on all Muslims and Christians to pray for our precious Egypt that God may protect it, and that love and brotherhood between us may perpetuate.

He expressed his complete happiness at the warm reception, stressing his optimism for a future worthy of the amount of sacrifice, cooperation and integration shown by the Egyptian people in the face of every challenge and the keenness of each individual to put the interests of the nation ahead of personal interests.

For his part, His Eminence Bishop John welcomed the Governor of Giza and the delegation accompanying him, pointing out the extent of the achievements made by the state in order to provide security and safety and make Egypt a beacon where everyone in it enjoys love, peace, and decent means of living.

The governor was accompanied by Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Giza Security Sector, Ibrahim Al-Shehabi and Hind Abdel Halim, the governor’s deputies, Major General Shaker Younis, the general secretary of the governorate, Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, the military advisor to the governorate, security leaders, Ayman Atris, head of the inspection and follow-up apparatus, the head of the Agouza district, the directors of the education, veterinary medicine and health directorates, and the head of the Giza region. Al-Azhar University and head of the General Authority for Cleanliness and Beauty in Giza.
