The K Club in Ireland Wins Worldwide Sustainability Championship at 2024 Historic Hotels Awards

The K Club, an Irish hotel located in Kildare, received the ‘Worldwide Sustainability Championship’ award at the 2024 Historic Hotels Annual Awards of Excellence. The event took place on November 21 at The Omni Homestead Resort in Virginia, attended by over 200 industry leaders.

This award, presented by Historic Hotels Worldwide, recognized The K Club’s new hydro-power system, which utilizes energy from the River Liffey. This makes The K Club the first five-star hotel in Ireland to be powered by hydroelectric energy.

Lawrence Horowitz, Executive Vice President of Historic Hotels of America, praised The K Club for its exceptional achievements in sustainability.

The ceremony recognized several other hotels with distinct awards:
