The Latin American Music Awards ceremony was full of surprises

The Latin American Music Awards gala (Latin AMAs 2024) was a night full of many surprises, with respect to the motto “We Speak Música”, which set the tone during the first bilingual edition of the awards. On this occasion, the couple that swept the awards was Feid with 6 statuettes, as well as the Colombian singer Karol G, who also obtained 6 victories.

The ceremony was hosted by Thalia, Becky G, Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Recognized Venezuelan

Another of the great surprises of the night was the well-deserved recognition given to Ricardo Montaner, the “Latin AMA Legacy 2024” award, who from the hands of Thalia, together with the MS Band, received this special statuette for his career.

The interpreter from the top of Heaven initially thanked Jesus Christ because he has fulfilled the promises he made to him, as well as his wife who has practically accompanied him in his 45-year career.

More surprises

Another group that swept this gala were the young people of RBD, with the Tour of the Year “Soy Rebelde Tour”, who also took the statuette for Best Pop Duo or Group.

Singer Romeo Santos also stood out with the award for Best Tropical Artist and Best Song of the year, with the song “Solo mí”.

The Boricua singer Marck Anthony, made everyone dance with the world premiere of his new single “Ale Ale”, thus anticipating the release of his next album.

The winners

At the event, artists were awarded in 27 categories, among the most awarded were Feid, who together with Sean Paul won the Crossover Collaboration of the Year award, with the song “Niña Bonita”, also won the statuette of Streaming Artist of the Year, and the Global Latin Song of the Year, he won it together with Young Miko, winning 6 statuettes.

However, the Colombian artist Karol G, stood up for women by winning six statuettes, including the award for Best Artist of the Year and Best Urban Album with “Mañana will be Bonito.” Meanwhile, Shakira also triumphed with her song “Acróstico”, winning the Best Pop Artist mention.

Among those in charge of entertaining the evening with live shows, Peso Pluma, Justin Quiles, DJ Deorro, Farruko, Jay Wheeler, Yng Lvcas and Gabito Ballesteros stand out.
