The property and casualty insurance industry pointed out that according to the “Personal Overseas Travel Inconvenience Insurance Reference Clause”, in the baggage delay insurance part, it is clearly stated that “during the insured’s overseas travel”, the accompanying luggage was mishandled by the public transportation operator, resulting in ” If the necessary clothing and daily necessities purchased by the insured for emergencies have not been collected 6 hours after arriving at the destination, the insurance company will pay the claim according to the contract. The current types of insurance policies can be divided into two types: “one-time fixed compensation” and “actual payment” within the limit based on the document.

However, in Article 28 of the reference terms, the “Special Exclusions” are clearly listed, clearly stating: 1. The insured’s baggage is delayed when returning to the airport in the Republic of China. 2. The insured’s luggage is delayed when returning to the place of departure or residence. 3. The property and casualty insurance company is not responsible for claims for luggage that has been transported by the insured in advance, or items that are not checked with you but mailed or shipped separately.

The property and casualty insurance industry said that to put it simply, travel inconvenience insurance provides people with compensation for inconvenience caused by various factors while traveling overseas. However, the person has returned to the country at the end of the trip, and although the luggage did not arrive at the same time, the insurance company will also provide compensation. It will cause some inconvenience, but the journey is over and the person has returned to the country, which is the “departure place”. Therefore, whether the luggage arrives late or is lost, it is not covered by travel inconvenience insurance, whether it is self-insurance or a credit card gift. The guarantees are the same.
