The North had thunderstorms all week, the South was hot again

Thunderstorms will continue in the North and North Central provinces for the next several days, concentrating in the evening and night with a peak on May 7-8. In the South, local heat returned from the beginning of the week.

On the afternoon of May 5, showers and thunderstorms appeared in many places in the Central Highlands and Southern regions. Some places have over 60mm of rain in just 5 hours, concentrated in Dak Lak, An Giang, Soc Trang, Ca Mau…

The National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting said that on the evening and night of May 5, the Northern and North Central regions are likely to see showers and thunderstorms. Some places have heavy rain with a common amount of 20-40mm, some places over 80mm.

At the same time, rain continues in the Central Highlands, Central Highlands and Southern regions with amounts fluctuating from 15-30mm, in some places over 70mm.

On June 6, the main weather in parts of the country is still cloudy, with thunderstorms in some places. Only a few places in the South Central and Southern regions have hot weather, but the temperature does not exceed 35 degrees Celsius.

Notably, from the night of May 6 to May 9, the Northern and North Central regions continued to experience showers with thunderstorms, locally with heavy rain. Particularly in the Northern mountainous region, there is a possibility of a period of moderate to widespread heavy rain concentrated on May 7-8.

In Dien Bien City, thunderstorms are forecast to occur on the morning of May 6 with a probability of 75% and continue in the afternoon, decreasing completely in the evening. On May 7 (the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory), the probability of rain in the morning is only about 30%, but gradually increases in the afternoon and evening.

When coming to Dien Bien to visit the relics and participate in events on this occasion, people should bring umbrellas and raincoats to avoid sudden showers.

Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius; highest in the north 28-31 degrees Celsius, in the south 31-34 degrees Celsius.

– From Da Nang to Binh Thuan: Thunderstorms in some places at night, sunny days, hot in some places. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius; highest 32-35 degrees Celsius.

Highlands: Showers at night with thunderstorms in some places, sunny days, hot in some places. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius; highest 31-34 degrees Celsius, in some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
