When asked during the panel for advice regarding careers in the entertainment industry, Davis encouraged attendees to reject perceived boundaries, according to the NZ Herald.
Never allow anyone to convince you that you are incapable of achieving or pursuing whatever aspirations you hold. Society surrounds us with falsehoods claiming we possess boundaries, yet none of us actually do.

Diagnosis Background and Public Response
She explained that she initially discovered a tiny lump that felt like a hard spot in early 2025, telling Metro.uk, I almost didn’t bother getting it checked.
So I guess I’m saying don’t ignore anything – get everything checked out.
According to the NZ Herald, the cancer metastasized to her bones, specifically her spine, right hip, and ribs, and doctors informed her that it was too late for chemotherapy. Davis noted that while standing and walking for long periods can be difficult and she occasionally uses a wheelchair, she remains at peace and aims to live out her remaining time as fun as possible, per the NZ Herald and Metro.uk.
