The official in charge of the Middle East Department at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade reviews the mechanism of the institution’s work

Manama, May 2 (BNA): Engineer Ali Ahmed Al-Darazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights, received Ms. Gemma Huggins, Assistant Undersecretary for the Middle East Department at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at the institution’s headquarters in the Seef District.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Darazi praised the cooperative relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Australia, and provided a general overview of the efforts undertaken by the Foundation in the field of promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest, especially with regard to supporting and protecting the culture of human rights.

Mrs. Huggins emphasized the Foundation’s effective role in promoting, protecting and developing human rights principles, within the framework of consolidating its values ​​and spreading awareness at various levels.
