The president who held the hand of Mrs. Kim Kun-hee… Start of G20 schedule in Bali

President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is on his first trip to Southeast Asia after taking office, arrived in Bali, Indonesia, his second destination on the 14th (local time), and began a schedule related to the G20.

President Yoon arrived at Bali International Airport early in the morning on a special flight, Air Force Unit 1. On the Indonesian side, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnapian, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Didik Eko Pugiantho, and Global Chairman of Indonesia Lee Boo-hyung received President Yoon and his wife.

President Yoon wore a dark blue suit with a white shirt and tie, and Mrs. Kim Geon-hee wearing an ivory two-piece suit and a matching handbag. President Yoon was also caught holding First Lady Kim’s hand and getting off the plane.

For two days until the 15th, President Yoon plans to hold the B20 Summit and G20 schedule attended by representatives of economic organizations and businesses from G20 member countries.

The first day will be filled with economic diplomacy schedules such as B20 keynote speeches and Korea-Indonesia business roundtables. On the second day, he will speak at the Food, Energy, Security and Health Session at the G20 Summit.

Attention is focused on whether he will have his first face-to-face meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who has recently served a third consecutive term. Some are even discussing the possibility of holding a Korea-China summit.

The G20 summit will be held until the 17th, but President Yoon plans to return home late at night after only attending the meeting on the 15th.
