Thiruvananthapuram | The Central Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in the state from Monday. No rain warning today. The central and southern districts will receive light to moderate rains today but the northern districts will receive isolated showers. It will rain again from Monday. Yellow alert was declared in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts on Monday. Low pressure in the Arabian Sea is currently the strongest low pressure area in the Middle East Arabian Sea. It is likely to turn into a severe depression but there is no threat off the coast of Kerala.
