The supplication of the night of Isra’ and Mi’raj and the virtue of fasting on it

The story of the night of the Isra and Mi’raj began when Gabriel went to the Messenger while he was in the Sacred House inside Mecca, with an animal called Al-Buraq, and this Buraq was traveling at a very high speed, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, rode on it in the company of Gabriel, peace be upon him, and he rode with them to the Holy House, and the Qur’an mentioned The Holy One is this journey in Surat Al-Isra.

One of the supplications that a Muslim can say on the night of the Isra’ and Mi’raj is to say: “O God, I complain to You about the weakness of my strength, my lack of resourcefulness, and my humiliation towards people. You are the Lord of the oppressed. O God, protect us above the earth and under the earth and on the Day of Presentation to You.”

“O God, make it a night in which our sins are changed into good deeds and our worries into joys.” “O God, make subservient to me the soldiers of the earth and the angels of heaven and all whom I have entrusted with my command, and grant me the fortune of this world and the bliss of the hereafter, and make all my affairs easy for me, and grant me the fortune of this world and the bliss of the hereafter, and make every difficult matter easy for me.”

The Isra’ is the night journey of the Prophet with Gabriel, peace be upon him, from the Sacred House in Mecca to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on the beast of Buraq, and as for the Mi’raj, it is their ascension from Jerusalem to the high heavens. The occurrence of this incident has been proven in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and the honorable companions testified about it. God Almighty said: “Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Aqsa Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.”

The reason for the journey of Isra and Mi’raj

The journey of Isra and Mi’raj came to alleviate the pain and sorrows of the Messenger, due to the harm he received from his people, and to raise the status of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, to honor him, and to make known to him his status and value before God.

Among the supplications for the Night of Isra and Mi’raj are: “O God, force our hearts as You forced the heart of Your Prophet Muhammad. Oh God, force my mind with force. You are his guardian, for nothing on earth or in heaven is impossible for You. My Lord, expand my chest, comfort my heart, and remove from my heart every fear and every weakness.”
