The third round of negotiations between the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Cargo Solidarity broke down after 10 hours

Yesterday (11th), the fifth day of the general strike of the KCTU Public Transport Workers’ Union, the Cargo Solidarity and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport negotiated for more than 10 hours, but failed.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport issued a press release and said that they discussed ways to normalize logistics from 11 am to 9:30 pm yesterday, but failed to reach an agreement.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said, “We will actively support the legislative discussion process of the National Assembly while sharing the view that an appropriate fare should be guaranteed to freight borrowers,” but the Cargo Solidarity insisted that it only repeated its existing positions, such as abolition of the safe fare system at sunset and expansion of items. .

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport expressed regret over the unilateral claim of the Cargo Coalition and urged the truck owners to return to work as soon as possible.

In addition, he said that he would continue to talk with the Cargo Regiment in the future.

The Cargo Coalition also issued a press release and explained that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport ignored the compromise point and came out with a plan that retreated from the initial plan.

The Cargo Solidarity said, “The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport conducted negotiations while maintaining the distorted principle that the safe fare system is a matter of labor-management negotiations.”

He also stated that he plans to continue the general strike, arguing that “the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport reported to the media that this negotiation was a working-level negotiation for arbitration between interested parties, not an open-ended negotiation.”
