The trial for the robbery of 49 million euros, one of the suspects arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina

BERLIN – The trial for one of the biggest robberies in the Berlin underground began on Friday in a court in Berlin, and one of the suspects was arrested in June in Bosnia and Herzegovina and extradited to Germany.

Namely, it is about the robbery of a security vault in Berlin’s Fasanenstrasse, where thieves broke in on November 19, 2022 and opened the safes for 12 hours. Their total loot is estimated at 49 million euros!

The direct perpetrators of the robbery belong to the so-called The Miri clan, an Arab clan known in the German underground, all of whom have German passports. Their insider was one of the managers of the company they robbed. They promised him a million sum.

Tomas St., one of the main managers of the robbed institution, although a suspect, is also a crown witness. He is in a secret location with his family, because his life is in danger since he betrayed them all.

According to the German media, in 12 hours they managed to open 295 out of 2000 safes, from which they took jewelry and everything of value. There are only 996 luxury watches in their loot.

The suspects, who appeared before the court, are Bilal M. (42) from Scheneberg, who with Tomas St. and previously “collaborated”. Allegedly, there is a suspicion that the two of them “laundered” more than 18 million euros through suspicious transactions.

The second suspect is Mahmud M. (26) from Neukölln, who is also the youngest in the group. He is allegedly the nephew of Muhamet H, also a suspect, from the town of Rudov, who is known in criminal circles as “Mo”. He is the father of seven children, an expert in burglaries and a man for “complicated cases” in the Berlin underground.

The fourth suspect is Kenan S. (28), also from Neukölln, who was disguised as a security guard. He is also known to the German police, mainly because of armed robberies. He was on parole at the time of the crime. He was arrested in June in Sarajevo and extradited to Berlin.
