The web activist who announced the dismissal of the Chief of Staff arrested

The author of the publication relating to the dismissal and arrest of the Chief of Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces (FAB) is arrested, and will be tried on May 6.

The man named CQ, author of the publication which made the rounds on social networks announcing the dismissal and arrest of the Chief of Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces is in prison. He was apprehended thanks to investigations carried out by the National Center for Digital Investigations (CNIN), a structure set up to replace the Central Office for the Repression of Cybercrime (OCRC), to repress digital-related offenses. This is what we learn from a publication by Serge Nonvignon, member of the communications unit of the Presidency of the Republic. The accused, according to the publication, will be judged on May 6.

He is also the owner of the newspaper Today in Benin, and several fake Facebook accounts intended for the publication of false information.
