There are two solutions, one is war, we tried that, it’s not good

“If we don’t take Bosnia and Herzegovina forward in this mandate, we won’t be able to anymore, like when you bring an old golf master a two and he says it’s not worth fixing, we are now somewhere as a country,” Karamatić said.

On the Electoral Law, the budget of the Federation of BiH, the position of Croats in BiH for BHT President of the HSS in BiH and member of the Croatian National Assembly in BiH Mario Karamatić spoke live.

About the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina: “I personally think that the budget will be adopted, revenues have increased enormously, when someone “treats” you with a billion, then there is room to share something somewhere. I will support him because the funds for agricultural incentives are increasing – that’s number one, and number two is that someone finally remembered to relieve employers… We have about 1000 fiscal and parafiscal levies paid by the real sector. We are entering a recession, there are two solutions, one is war, we tried that, it doesn’t work, the other is an increase in public spending, which means that if levies were reduced to some 20 to 30 percent from the current 70, that money would be returned to the government through VAT”, said Karamatić resolutely.

When asked if the budget can meet all the requirements, Karamatić says that “it can be a lot more.” He believes that the funds will be spent. “I will demand that the funds for agriculture be devoted to the maximum. Someone who produces potatoes – if they get an incentive – can give a lower price. As for pensions, they are shamefully small, people who retire cannot buy medicine for themselves,” said Karamatić.

He reminded that Prime Minister Fadil Novalić had populist moves. “This is such populism that I am ashamed of them,” said Karamatić, commenting on Novalić’s statements about increasing pensions by the end of the year, which did not happen.

Speaking about the work of the federal and state parliament, Karamatić says that it is “perhaps the last chance for BiH”.

“The people who were elected should sit down and try to come to an agreement, if we don’t do that, another crisis awaits us from which there will be no return,” he said.

He says that we now have a “schizophrenic situation” in the House of the People.

“The fact is that the SDA has the majority and can block all processes through the vice-president of the FBiH, but it is identical that the Croats can block all processes through their club, and the SDP through the Serbian club can block all processes, now we are in a situation where someone has to be Mr. the Federation would function”, says Karamatić.

“The SDA has already announced blockades, we will see what it will end up being,” said Karamatić and added that in the end everything depends on the high representative.

“Our Balkan mentality is such that we will push as long as we can. I would be the happiest if the representatives of the three nations sat down and agreed. To close those ugly pages of history, not for us, but for our children, if we continue at this pace there will be no one in Bosnia and Herzegovina but a few crooks sitting around public companies and parliaments”, he says.

When asked when the FBiH will get a new leadership, Karamatić says that he expects it to be at the session on January 27, and that then delegates to the State House of Peoples will be elected.

Speaking about the names of the candidates for the Council of Ministers, he says that “HSS offered the most professional candidate. I am personally satisfied with her work, and the HNS is also satisfied, I can comment on Mrs. Lovrić (Ljiljana)… I wish the best of luck to the people who will be in the Council of Ministers from all three parties,” he said.

“If we don’t take Bosnia and Herzegovina forward in this term, we won’t be able to anymore, like when you bring an old golf master a two and he says it’s not worth fixing, we are now somewhere as a country,” said Karamatić.

He believes that now the SDA is “pulling us towards the United Arab Emirates instead of towards a united Europe” because they cannot come to terms with a “partial loss of power”.

Speaking about the protest announcements, he says that “the days of privatizing democracy with the help of arson are over.” “How far the SDA is ready to go, I don’t know, but I would ask them to preserve a shred of dignity because this is disgusting”.
