There will be no suspension of the peak and plate in Medellín during Christmas and New Year

The Mayor’s Office of Medellín announced that this year the suspension of the peak and plate will not be applied during the Christmas and New Year festivities, which means that the measure will continue in force during the month of December and January. This decision aims to guarantee mobility in the District during the end of the year celebrations.

Unlike last year, when the restriction was lifted for a period of 24 days, the municipal administration has chosen to keep the measure in force. The announcement seeks to avoid inconveniences like those that occurred last season, where the suspension of the pick and plate generated mobility problems, especially on critical days such as December 24 and 31.

The peak and license plate for private vehicles and motorcycles will continue to apply as follows: Mondays will correspond to 7-1, Tuesdays to 3-0, Wednesdays to 4-6, Thursdays to 5-9 and Fridays to 8-2.
