(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Choi Song-ah = Tickets for the soccer team’s 2022 Qatar World Cup Asian final qualifying match against Iran on the 24th are sold out.

The Korea Football Association announced ‘all seats sold out’ through the official channel ahead of the 9th match of the World Cup final qualifier against Iran to be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium from 8 pm on the same day.

As of 9 a.m. that day, 62,000 seats had already been sold, leaving only about 1,000 tickets left, and they were sold out about an hour and a half before the start.

It is the first time in three years since the national friendly match against Colombia on March 26, 2019, the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the largest in Korea with 64,000 seats, recorded a full record.

According to the Football Association, it will be the 10th 10,000-person match since the opening of the Seoul World Cup Stadium in 2001.

The association prepared a card section with the phrase ‘I missed you’ on the east stand just before the start in consultation with the ‘Red Devil’ cheering group. The Taegeuk pattern and the Korea Football Association emblem are engraved on the back of both goalposts.

It is the first time in three years and five months since the friendly match against Uruguay held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in October 2018 to cheer for the card section in the soccer team game.
