TikTok has‍ launched a⁣ suite of generative AI tools⁢ designed to streamline creative production for marketers. These tools, part of TikTok’s Symphony ‍suite, ⁤will⁤ be available natively⁤ on the platform and⁤ integrated with Adobe ‍Express and WPP⁤ Open.

The new AI-driven features include image-to-video generation, which transforms static images into five-second video clips. Text-to-video‍ capabilities will also allow marketers to create automated video content from short prompts. The announcement coincides with the Cannes Lions festival, where TikTok is hosting ⁣programming.

TikTok believes these tools will help marketers experiment with creative variations and scale custom content. Andy Yang,TikTok’s global head of creative ⁤and brand products, described the new offerings ‍as “accessible” and “agile.”

Building on it’s 2024 launch ⁤of digital ⁢avatars,TikTok is introducing Symphony Showcase Products. This feature allows marketers to upload a visual with a text description to generate videos featuring avatars showcasing products or demonstrating ⁣mobile apps.

Extending AI⁢ Beyond tiktok

TikTok said Symphony ⁤features are expanding ⁣beyond its platform. ⁢The image-to-video tool⁣ will be integrated into⁤ Adobe Express‍ via the Symphony Assistant plug-in.This builds on an ⁣existing partnership between TikTok⁢ and Adobe to adapt Adobe Express and Adobe Premiere‍ pro for TikTok content creation.

Select automated creative tools will also be accessible through WPP Open, WPP’s AI marketing platform. WPP⁢ employees can use Symphony⁣ AI⁣ Dubbing for translation,Symphony Digital‍ avatars, and the Generate⁣ & Remix video tool.

rob Reilly, WPP’s⁤ chief creative officer, said that TikTok’s Symphony Suite gives their ⁣creatives more power to experiment for clients. He added that it blends human creativity with AI ‍to⁣ deliver ⁣effective results.

Content created with Symphony will be labeled as AI-generated and ⁣undergo safety reviews,‍ including oversight of uploaded images⁢ and prompts, tiktok said.

The future of TikTok in the U.S.‍ remains⁢ uncertain. The app ‍faces a June 19 deadline to be divested by ByteDance or face a nationwide ban. While several organizations have expressed interest in ⁤acquiring ⁣TikTok, its fate is undetermined. Former President Donald Trump has suggested a possible extension of the deadline.

What’s next

TikTok’s competitors, including Snap and ⁢Bereal, are positioning themselves to capture potential ad spending‍ if TikTok faces a ban ⁣in the U.S.
