R360’s architects include Tindall, Stuart Hooper, formerly Bath’s director of rugby, and John loffhagen, a lawyer involved in creating the Indian Premier League and LIV Golf. Mark Spoors, a former rugby agent, is also a co-founder.
the R360 competition proposes a “grand prix” format with 12 franchises—eight for men and four for women. These teams would compete in 16 venues worldwide, including Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Nou Camp, and sao Paulo.
Planned for April-June and August-September, the league intends to make players available for international matches, positioning rugby as a summer sport. R360 aims to recruit 300 top male and female players and claims many have already signed agreements contingent on securing sufficient funding by September of next year.
