Australian influencer Taleigha Skye has publicly apologized after leaving her six-month-old son unattended in a locked hotel room in Bali while she went for a massage.
The incident occurred on April 18, 2026, when Skye, 24, left her baby, Haze, alone in the room while she visited the hotel’s wellness center. She later addressed the situation on Instagram on April 19, acknowledging her actions were a poor decision and taking full responsibility.
In her statement, Skye explained that although she was only meters away from the room and had constant monitoring, she recognized that this did not make the situation safe. She noted that a nanny who usually assists with her children was unavailable that day, but emphasized this was not a justification for her actions.
Skye, who shares Haze with her partner Matthrew Reid and also has a four-year-old son named Evi, concluded her apology by stating she understands the seriousness of her actions and can confidently say this will be the first and last time such an incident occurs.
The apology followed widespread criticism online, including comments from followers who expressed concern about leaving an infant unattended in a hotel room in a foreign country while pursuing personal services such as a foot massage.
