‘TL’ Gameplay Video Leaked, Violating NDA

NCSoft’s highly anticipated new PC and console game, ‘Throne and Liberty (TL)’, recently completed its first closed test in North America. While the North American publisher, Amazon Games, required participants to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to keep the test content confidential, some individuals have disregarded this agreement and leaked gameplay footage.

Amazon Games officially announced the conclusion of the closed technical testing on the ‘TL’ website on October 3rd, stating that this test marked the game’s debut in North America. The test was exclusively available to invited participants who owned a PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox XlS series console. These individuals were selected between September 19 and October 3, in accordance with Pacific Standard Time. The participants were required to sign an NDA, pledging to abstain from streaming the game or disclosing any related information to the public. This safeguard was put in place due to the trial version containing release schedule details.

Expressing their gratitude for the enthusiastic participation, honest feedback, and support from participants, Amazon Games stated that they intend to utilize the feedback collected during the test to enhance the overall gaming experience. However, they reiterated their commitment to maintaining complete secrecy regarding the game’s features and release schedule during this period.

While the majority of participants adhered to the NDA, a small number of individuals breached it by leaking a test video. Russian media outlet, GoHa.Ru, reported that the individuals responsible for this unauthorized leak were believed to be of Chinese origin. The leaked footage, captured in low quality, showcased a large group of players collaboratively battling a formidable monster, along with a scene explaining the skill system in Chinese. Notably, no concrete information pertaining to the release schedule was confirmed within the leaked content.

Notwithstanding these incidents, Amazon Games plans to enhance the battle system and remove the automatic hunting feature in the global version of ‘TL’, which they will release next year. Prior to the official launch, they have outlined their intention to conduct multiple tests that will be open to global users, ensuring thorough vetting and optimization of the game.

In conclusion, the unauthorized leakage of a gameplay video for ‘TL’ by a select few individuals who breached the NDA has raised serious concerns. Amazon Games has made it explicit that they will take strong action against any violations. As the game’s release date looms, both developers and eager gamers await further updates regarding the highly anticipated ‘TL’.

Amazon Games announced on the 3rd (local time) that it has ended closed technical testing on the official ‘TL’ website. This test was the first to be held in North America, and was limited to PC / Playstation 5 / Xbox XlS series users who received invitations between September 19 and October 3 (Pacific Standard Time). Test participants signed an NDA, promising not to broadcast the game or reveal related information to the outside world.
