The head of Chinese diplomacy carried a message from the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping to his Togolese counterpart.

Arriving in Lomé on Tuesday evening, Wang Yi left early Wednesday afternoon.

The exchanges between the Togolese president and the Chinese diplomat made it possible to take stock of bilateral cooperation, marked by important projects in the economic, infrastructure, health, agriculture, education and culture fields. .

The Chinese minister congratulated the Head of State for his involvement in the development of Sino-Togolese relations of friendship and cooperation based on friendship, mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial projects.

Remember that Togo and China have maintained a dynamic and fruitful partnership since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on September 19, 1972.

This historic partnership, based on a set of values ​​and ideals such as peace and solidarity, has intensified over the years with several agreements and achievements in sectors with strong economic and social impact.

Wang Yi took the opportunity of today’s audience to invite, on behalf of President Xi Jinping, the Togolese head of state to the Forum on Sino-African Cooperation, the next edition of which will be held in the form of a summit of leaders in September 2024. FIN
