Hong Chaofeng’s Emotional Turmoil: A Journey of Struggle and Resilience

Hong Chaofeng, a 64-year-old former DJ, has been ‌through a rollercoaster of emotions in his life. His high-profile love affair with the late socialite Bao Yongqin was well-documented, ⁢but what followed was ‌a series ⁢of health struggles that tested his⁣ resolve.

In 2017, Hong Chaofeng was diagnosed with tongue cancer, which led to the removal of part of his tongue. The cancer cells had spread to his lymph nodes, making his condition even more critical. A year later, he‌ was diagnosed with lymphoma, and in 2019, ⁢he was diagnosed with‌ small intestine cancer, which fortunately turned out to be benign.

Despite his physical health struggles, Hong Chaofeng has also been open about his emotional turmoil. He has been suffering from depression⁤ and mania for a ‌long ‍time and requires long-term medication. His recent post on‌ social media, which mentioned‌ “death” and “farewell” ‌multiple times, caused concern among his fans⁣ and friends.

If ‌there is anyone I want to see most at the moment of death, it is my son, who is⁣ connected by blood. If I had to say something I ‌would just remain silent without ‌saying a word and leave like ‌this. … Farewell, my friend, you will not know my feelings. The ups and downs of half a ‍lifetime are like bubbles, like‌ shadows, like waking up from a dream, and suddenly looking back, just because there is still a little tenderness left.⁣ Farewell, my love…

However, Hong Chaofeng later ⁤clarified that his post was a creative⁣ expression and ‌not a reflection of his current mental state. He thanked his fans ⁤for their concern and apologized for any misunderstanding.

Understanding Tongue Cancer

Tongue cancer is a type‌ of oral cancer that can be highly ⁢toxic and aggressive. According to⁣ Hong Kong oncology specialist Sham Hsin-tong, if tongue cancer is detected⁢ and treated early, the⁣ cure rate is as high as 80%. However, if it is not discovered until late, the cure rate drops to ‌10 to 20%.

Chen Mu-kuan, president of Changhua Christian Hospital and chairman of ‌the Taiwan ‌Otolaryngology-Head and Neck⁢ Surgery Association, emphasizes the importance of⁢ seeking medical attention immediately if symptoms persist. He highlights the following 5 major symptoms of tongue cancer:

  • Persistent tongue ulcers that last⁣ for more than 2 weeks
  • Unusual‌ bleeding or pain in the tongue
  • Difficulty swallowing or speaking
  • Swollen lymph nodes in the neck
  • Unexplained weight loss

If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, it is essential to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
