Reliance industries Leads Market Valuation Gains
A strong week for equities saw nine of the ten most valuable firms increase their market valuation by a combined ₹2,34,565.53 crore. reliance industries led the pack in market capitalization gains.
The BSE benchmark surged 1,650.73 points, or 2%, last week, fueling the increase. The market valuation of Reliance Industries rose by ₹69,556.91 crore, reaching ₹20,51,590.51 crore,the largest increase among the top-tier companies. Bharti Airtel’s valuation increased by ₹51,860.65 crore to ₹11,56,329.94 crore, while HDFC Bank saw an increase of ₹37,342.73 crore, bringing its valuation to ₹15,44,624.52 crore.
Other notable gains in market capitalization (mcap) included Bajaj Finance, which rose by ₹26,037.88 crore to ₹5,88,213.55 crore,and ICICI bank,which edged up by ₹24,649.73 crore to ₹10,43,037.49 crore. Life insurance Corporation of India (LIC) saw its valuation climb by ₹13,250.87 crore to ₹6,05,523.65 crore, and State Bank of India’s mcap increased by ₹8,389.15 crore to ₹7,18,788.90 crore. Infosys was the only company in the top ten to experience a decline, with its mcap decreasing by ₹5,494.8 crore to ₹6,68,256.29 crore.
