Lanez, the Brampton rapper serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, was hospitalized earlier this month after sustaining 14 stab wounds. He has since been moved to a different facility.
Casio, already serving a life sentence for murder at the California Correctional Facility in tehachapi, said he heard rumors that Lanez planned to attack him and had put a bounty on his head. Casio also stated he believed Lanez was carrying a weapon when they crossed paths.
Despite the severity of the stabbing, Casio maintains he did not intend to kill Lanez. He said they previously had a decent relationship as cell neighbors. Casio alleges he sustained a stab wound to his leg during the incident, reinforcing his suspicion that Lanez was armed.
