Tottenham Hotspur Set to Sign Promising Young Defender Luka Buskovic

Tottenham Hotspur is on the verge of securing a new central defender prospect in the form of Luka Buskovic. Renowned European football transfer market expert Fabricio Romano announced on November 11th that the young talent is set to join Tottenham.

Romano stated that Tottenham’s project presented the best opportunity for Buskovic’s growth, and despite interest from five top European clubs, the player had his heart set on joining the Spurs. “The terms of the agreement have been agreed upon, and the club has completed the necessary paperwork,” Romano added.

Standing tall at 193 cm, Buskovic may only be 16 years old, but he showcases a maturity beyond his years on the field. He made his debut for Hajduk in February this year, becoming the youngest player to ever play in the Croatian league. Furthermore, he holds the record as Hajduk’s youngest-ever scorer.

Due to his young age, Buskovic has not had many opportunities to feature in the first team. Last season, he appeared in a total of 11 games. Despite Hajduk’s strong performance, finishing second in the Croatian league last season, Buskovic was given limited chances to prove himself.

Notably, the British media, including the Evening Standard, reported that other top English clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool also expressed interest in signing Buskovic. However, Tottenham secured the talented defender by offering a promising vision and a transfer fee of £12 million (approximately 20 billion won).

In compliance with FIFA’s regulations for the protection of youth players, Buskovic will remain with his current team, HNK Hajduk Split, until he turns 18. It is expected that he will join Tottenham in 2025.

Tottenham’s prowess in the English Premier League (EPL) this season has garnered attention. Currently sitting in second place, the team’s strong performance early on is attributed to the excellent management of newly appointed coach, Enze Postecoglou.

Local media outlets have also lauded Tottenham’s acquisition of Buskovic. Football London reported, “Given that Buskovic, who is only 16 years old, is highly regarded in Europe, it is a major coup for Tottenham to acquire him.”

Tottenham is clearly preparing for the future by assembling a promising squad in this summer’s transfer market. Alongside Buskovic, they have already signed Argentinian forward Alejo Velis and former England youth player Ashley Phillips.

As Tottenham continues to make shrewd moves in the transfer market, their ambition to build a successful team for the long term is evident.

[스포탈코리아] Reporter Joo Dae-eun = Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign a new central defender prospect.

On the 11th (Korea time), European football transfer market expert Fabricio Romano said, “Tottenham is about to sign the talented Luka Buskovic.”

‘Romano’ said, ‘Tottenham presented the best project where it could grow. Buscovic only wanted Tottenham despite interest from five top European clubs. ‘The terms of the agreement have been agreed and the club has completed the paperwork,’ he added.

Buskovic has a tall height of 193 cm. Although he is only 16 years old, he plays maturely. He played for the first time in Hajduk in February this year and broke the record as the youngest player to play in the Croatian league. He is also the youngest scorer in Hajduk’s history.

Because he is still young, he does not get many first team appearances. He appeared in a total of 11 games last season. Hajduk finished second in the Croatian league last season behind Dinamo Zagreb. This season, they are in first place with 5 wins and 1 loss in 6 games. Although the strength of the team was strong, the opportunity was given.

According to the British media ‘Evening Standard’, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea were interested in Buskovic. Tottenham acquired Buskovic by offering a good vision and a transfer fee of 12 million pounds (about 20 billion won).

Due to FIFA’s youth player protection regulations, Buskovic will remain with his current team, HNK Hajduk Split, until he is 18 years old. He is expected to join Tottenham in 2025.

Tottenham are currently second in the English Premier League (EPL). Of course, the league only lasted 4 rounds, but it looks significantly different to the last seasons. The main evaluation is that the newly appointed coach, Enze Postecoglou, has put together a good team.

The local media were also surprised by Tottenham’s actions. ‘Football London’ reported, ‘Given that Buskovic, who is still only 16 years old, is highly regarded in Europe, it is a major coup for Tottenham to acquire him.’

Tottenham are preparing for the future. In this summer’s transfer market, they are gathering promising players by signing Argentinian striker Alejo Velis, born in 2003, and defender Ashley Phillips, a former England age group player.
