A story was told of a student who returned to school a month after undergoing major surgery and was touched by her classmates’ surprise party.

On the 23rd, a video titled “Made the Student Cry” was posted on the YouTube channel “Teacher Changyong’s Handwriting Lesson”.

According to the video, Lee Soo-ah, a sixth-grade student at Nongso Elementary School in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, returned to class in a wheelchair on the 19th after undergoing four surgeries after seriously injuring her leg.

However, her classmates simply bowed their heads and solved the test questions without even looking at Su-ah. The teacher set up a desk and chair for Su-ah and said, “Your friends are taking a test.” Her young lady stared into the distance or squinted as if the atmosphere was awkward.

Meanwhile, a student left the classroom to go to the bathroom. The school teacher then followed suit.

Afterwards, the lights in the classroom went out and the sound of the piano accompaniment began to sound. The student who had left came into the classroom and put candles on a cake for Su-ah. The teacher entered the classroom holding a bouquet of flowers. All this was a “surprise party” organized by the teacher and classmates.

Su-ah, who had no idea what was happening, realized the surprise event for her and began to burst into tears.

The classmates chorused, “Soo-ah was born to be loved,” and then greeted Su-a with applause, saying, “Congratulations on your discharge, Su-a!”

The teacher said, “Congratulations on being released from the hospital, Suya. Now we have to treat Su-ah like a princess. Su-ah said, “Blow out the candles to celebrate your discharge.”

He said: “It was difficult for (Soo-ah) to undergo surgery, but she had to do it four times. “This is really difficult,” she said. “Actually, I don’t have to come to school today, but I came because I wanted to go to school so badly.”

He also said, “You need to take better care of them and help them more. “It’s really not easy to get around in a wheelchair,” she pointed out.

Currently, the number of views of this video has reached 300,000 (at 29th) and is greatly impressing netizens on social networking services (SNS).

Netizens who saw the video responded with comments such as “It makes me cry even when I watch it again,” “There is some hope for education in Korea thanks to people like you,” and “It warms my heart heart in these days when there is a lot of talk about the question of the right to teaching”.
