The Tour of Britain Women stage featured two significant climbs at Blakey Ridge and Langburn’s Bank.
Le Court launched her attack at the base of Langburn’s Bank, with Faulkner giving chase. The peloton fractured behind the leading pair. FDJ-Suez and Movistar spearheaded the pursuit from a diminished group, trailing by 34 seconds with 28 kilometers remaining.
