Tourist Express arrived at Cox’s Bazar All Bengal

The non-stop intercity train ‘Tourist Express’ from Dhaka reached Cox’s Bazar for the first time.

The train reached Cox’s Bazar railway station at 3.30 pm on Wednesday (January 10). 785 passengers reached Cox’s Bazar from Dhaka on the first journey of this new train.

Golam Rabbani, Station Master of Cox’s Bazar Railway Station, said that the tourist express arrived at the station at 3:28 pm with 785 passengers. The train left at 6:30 am and reached Cox’s Bazar in about 9 hours. Tickets for this train are sold out 7 days in advance.

He also said that the train will depart from Cox’s Bazar for Dhaka at 8:30 pm. Keeping in mind the needs of passengers, a new pair of non-stop inter-city trains, Tourist Express, have been launched on the Cox’s Bazar route.

According to the sources of Bangladesh Railway, the train number of Tourist Express to Dhaka is 815 and the train number to Cox’s Bazar is 816. The train will have a total of 16 coaches. Total seats are 785. Cox’s Bazar railway station has been identified as a train wreck site. Watering, servicing and cleaning of the train will be done there. The train is closed weekly on Sunday.

Kamalapur to Cox’s Bazar non-AC class ‘Shovan Chair’ seat fare is Tk 695. Rent of AC class ‘Snigdha’ seat including VAT is 1 thousand 325 taka. The same fare is fixed from the airport station as well.
