Tragedy Strikes at Encinada Beach: Surfers Found Dead in Well after Carjacking Attempt

Encinada Beach, Mexico, a favorite destination for surfers.

Three foreign men who had traveled here returned dead to their families.

Their bodies were found in a 15m deep well nearby after they went missing while enjoying a surf trip.

They were identified as the Robinson brothers from Australia and their American friend Jack Carter Lord.

Investigative authorities believe it was the work of the thieves who targeted the tires of the trucks the victims were driving.

“It was not an attack on tourists, but an attempt to carjack.
“Evidence suggests that the perpetrators may not have known that the victims were tourists.”

Prosecutors believe the suspects opened fire after being caught stealing tires.

Also, to cover up the crime, the body was left in a well far away.

Last weekend, dozens of surfers gathered in downtown Encinada to hold a protest to commemorate the foreign victims.

Some people have a negative view of the swift action taken against missing foreigners.

“This incident drew attention because it was an international issue.
“If it had happened to a local person, the police would not have investigated.”

Local investigative authorities have arrested three men as suspects and are investigating them.
