Tragedy Strikes: Boy’s Fatal Mistake Sparks Mother’s Fury at Homeowner
Tragic Incident: Child Electrocuted and Killed After Breaking into House
A devastating incident occurred in Phetchabun Province, Thailand, where a child broke into someone’s house and was electrocuted, resulting in their death.
On September 18, Lieutenant Colonel Sukit Chankaew, an investigation officer at Chon Daen Police Station, received a report about an electrocution incident. He, along with the doctor on duty at Chon Daen Hospital, went to Ban Dong Khwang, No. 6 Village, Tha Kham Sub-district, Chon Daen District, to investigate.
The incident occurred at the house of Mr. Jettaphong, 74, which is located near Tha Kham-Wang Pong Road, Ban Dong Khwang section. The house is used for storing construction tools and as a residence. The body of Mr. Panlop, 23, was found in the courtyard, wearing a red long-sleeved T-shirt and long brown trousers. He was lying face down in the grass with burn marks on both ankles and a small piece of wire tied to a tree.

According to Mr. Jettaphong, the owner of the house, he had set up an electrical wire to prevent dogs from biting cats in the house. He would unplug it during the day when he was not at home and reconnect it at night. On the night of the incident, he had connected the electricity as usual. When he woke up in the morning, he found the body of Mr. Panlop in the garden.

Police officers believe that Mr. Panlop had broken into the house to steal tools and fled through the back of the house, unaware of the exposed wires. He tripped and received an electric shock, resulting in his death.
Mrs. Sommai, the mother of the deceased, was devastated by the incident. She cursed Mr. Jettaphong, saying that he had gone too far and was unreasonable. However, the police and rescuers managed to stop her in time.
