Tragedy Strikes in Egypt: Prosecution Launches Probe into Fatal ‘Ard Al Golf’ Property Collapse That Claimed 4 Lives
Nasr City Building Collapse: Investigation Underway After Fatal Accident
Egyptian prosecutors have launched an extensive investigation into the collapse of a four-story property in Nasr City, east of Cairo, which resulted in the loss of four lives and the destruction of five cars.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the property owner had passed away two months prior to the incident, and his son had been constructing a dental center on the first floor. The son had hired workers to remove columns, which ultimately led to the collapse of the entire property.
According to initial sources, demolition workers were among the victims, and a search for missing persons under the rubble is ongoing. The property was initially licensed in 1972, with a subsequent expansion licensed in 1978.
Civil protection teams in Cairo are working to remove rubble from the site in search of victims and injured individuals. The operation aims to determine if anyone is trapped under the debris.
The Cairo Security Directorate received a notification from the rescue operation room, reporting the collapse of a residential property on Nabil Al-Waqqad Street, at the intersection of Al-Noja Street in Nasr City. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance and manage traffic.
