The scene of an accident where a highway that was in good condition collapsed almost 20 meters in an instant.

About 20 vehicles rolled down the slope along with dirt and sand.

Citizens who saw the tragic scene while passing by came to the rescue in front of the rescue workers.

This man in his 30s went down a slippery slope and saved a total of six people, including a 3-year-old child, with his bare hands.

As full-scale search and rescue operations take place, the number of casualties continues to rise.

Some of the injured are reported to be seriously injured.

According to local media reports, in addition to ground subsidence due to heavy rain, it is also possible that poor construction could have led to the accident.

Although the risk of landslides is relatively high because the road was built by cutting into mountainous terrain, safety facilities such as retaining walls were not properly installed to prevent soil from flowing down.

A blood drive continues to help those who were injured in the unfortunate accident that happened on the first day of the Labor Day holiday.

It is known that the part where the accident happened was opened less than 10 years ago.

Even President Xi Jinping ordered that every effort should be made to solve the accident, but insensitivity to safety, a chronic problem in Chinese society, came to the fore again.
