At the time, a worker in his 50s who had suffered a severe head injury died while being treated in hospital.
When I checked the CCTV footage of the situation at the time of the accident, I saw that the moving structure suddenly broke and the adjacent structures collapsed one after another.

Two large cranes gradually place the concrete beams onto the pillars.
Just as the ninth and final beam on the left is about to be placed on the pier, the structure suddenly rocks.
It’s broken in the middle.
The broken structure swings while hanging by a thread and knocks over the structure next to it.
Then, eight beams fall from the pier like dominoes.
CCTV from the other side of the crane showed a more detailed scene of the structure being cut in half, hanging from the crane line and touching adjacent beams.
As the huge 54 meter high beams fell from the overpass, vehicles passing under the road barely stopped and avoided the accident.
A man in his fifties who was working on a bridge at the time fell 8 metres, suffered a head injury and died today, three days after the accident.
Police, who yesterday conducted a joint investigation with the National Forensic Service, are deeply analyzing why the concrete beam that serves as the support beam of the upper part suddenly broke in the middle.

“I believe the cause can only be found after careful examination of the remains of the destroyed structure remaining on the site, the strength of the concrete and the amount of reinforcement.”
Construction, which began in 2019, was ordered by Korea Water Resources Corporation and was carried out by SK Eco Plant.
Police intend to investigate construction and property officials to see if they are charged with manslaughter due to professional negligence and the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
