CHICAGO — New research presented at the ASCO Annual meeting suggests a potential new first-line treatment for HER2-positive, advanced or metastatic breast cancer. The DESTINY-Breast-09 trial revealed that trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd), when combined with pertuzumab, significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) compared to taxane chemotherapy plus trastuzumab and pertuzumab.
