Trump’s ‌History of Statements on the War

Throughout his election campaign, trump has repeatedly pledged to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.‌ Tho, he has also faced criticism for what ‍some perceive as‍ pro-Russian sentiments and for initially appearing to fault Ukraine’s leadership as ‍the war began.

While Trump has claimed he could halt the war in Ukraine⁢ within a single day, the⁤ timeline for such a resolution has appeared to shift with each subsequent statement.

Recently, Trump expressed ‍hope that the United states could facilitate an agreement between Ukraine and Russia to cease hostilities ”relatively soon.”

“We hope that we will be able to agree with Russia and Ukraine on the termination of hostilities relatively soon,” Trump said.

Separately, Trump addressed a recent ballistic missile‌ attack in Sumy, calling it “a terrible mistake.”

“they told me that they made a mistake, it was terrible,” Trump said to reporters.
