Trump Bondi Epstein Files MAGA Backlash
Trump Weighs In on Epstein Files, Bondi Faces Scrutiny Over DOJ Memo
Former President Donald Trump has dismissed the ongoing interest in the Jeffrey Epstein case files as “boring stuff,” while Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi faced a barrage of questions regarding a controversial Department of Justice (DOJ) memo.
Trump Calls Epstein Files “Boring” Amidst Public Interest
Speaking to reporters, Trump expressed his bewilderment at the continued public fascination wiht the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and the release of his associated files. Epstein, who died in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, has been the subject of renewed public attention following the unsealing of court documents.”He’s dead for a long time. He was never a big factor in terms of life. I don’t understand what the interest or what the fascination is. I really don’t, and the credible information’s been given,” Trump stated, characterizing the content as “pretty boring stuff. It’s sordid, but it’s boring.”
Bondi Stands by DOJ Memo Amidst Reporter Questions
Attorney General Pam Bondi found herself fielding numerous questions from the press on Tuesday during an event focused on the fentanyl crisis. Despite her initial reluctance to address off-topic inquiries, Bondi affirmed her support for the DOJ and FBI memo in question.
“today our memo speaks for itself, and we will get back to you about anything else,” Bondi responded when pressed by reporters.
She also declined to comment on “personnel matters” when asked about the status of FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino. Sources previously indicated to fox news Digital that Bongino was reportedly “enraged” by the memo’s rollout and had considered resigning.
The scrutiny on Bondi and the DOJ memo comes as the public continues to grapple with the implications of the Epstein case and the broader issues of justice and accountability.
