‍ ⁣ Updated June 27,‍ 2025

President ⁢Donald trump is accusing Democrats of leaking an intelligence report that⁤ suggested U.S. strikes on Iran were less ⁢effective than his administration⁢ claimed. The intel leak has sparked a war of words between the White House and the media, specifically CNN.

“The ‍Democrats are the ones who leaked the details on the PERFECT FLIGHT ⁣to the Nuclear Sites in Iran. They should be prosecuted!” Trump ‍posted on Truth Social, escalating the media feud.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt echoed Trump’s call for prosecution during a⁢ press ⁢briefing Thursday. “It could have been ⁣someone in the intelligence⁤ community, or it could have been someone on Capitol Hill who had access to this document. The FBI is searching for that person,” Leavitt ‍said.

Leavitt also directly⁢ addressed CNN reporter Natasha Bertrand, who initially reported on ‍the leaked intelligence earlier in the week. The White House ⁤is aggressively⁤ pushing back against what it calls “low-confidence” reporting.

“This is a reporter who has been regrettably used by ⁣people ⁢who dislike Donald Trump in this government⁣ to push fake and false narratives,” Leavitt‍ said. ‍”She should be⁣ ashamed of herself.”
