This call to action follows a letter sent Tuesday by Senator Tom Cotton, a republican representing Arkansas, to Intel Chairman Frank Yeary.Cotton expressed meaningful concern over Tan’s investments and buisness connections within China.

In his letter,Senator Cotton highlighted the breadth of Tan’s involvement with chinese companies. “Mr.Tan reportedly controls dozens of Chinese companies and has a stake in hundreds of Chinese advanced-manufacturing and chip firms,” the letter stated. Perhaps most concerning, Cotton alleges that “at least eight of these companies reportedly have ties to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.”
