After Trump’s speech in Davos, Switzerland, he was interviewed on stage by Børge Brende, head of the World Economic Forum and former Norwegian foreign minister.
One of the questions was how close Trump thinks Russia and Ukraine are to reaching an agreement.
– I think Russia wants to conclude an agreement and that Ukraine wants to conclude an agreement, said the president.
According to Trump, it is more difficult to end the war because Putin and Zelenskyj hate each other. He made a strong appeal to both to get a peace solution in place.
– If not, they are stupid. And that applies to both of them, Trump said.
