Former President Donald Trump has claimed that Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook’s parent company Meta, conspired to defeat former President Donald Trump in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

According to Politico on the 29th, former President Trump, in his book “Save America,” which will be published on the 3rd, wrote under a photo of himself meeting Zuckerberg at the White House, “He brought his wonderful wife to dinner and was very kind, but all the while he was plotting something real against the president and trying to install a shameful ‘lock box.'”

This was in reference to Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan donating $420 million to non-profit organizations to invest in election-related facilities to ensure voting can proceed properly during the COVID-19 pandemic ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Politico explained.

Republicans have argued that the aid is an unfair move aimed at helping Democrats.

In the book, former President Trump claims that “Zuckerberg told me that there was no one like Trump at Facebook. But at the same time, for whatever reason, he ran Facebook against me.”

“We are watching him closely and if he commits any illegality this time, he will spend the rest of his life in prison, as will anyone else who tries to cheat in the 2024 election,” he warned.

Republicans have criticized Facebook for blocking content unfavorable to Democrats, such as allegations about President Joe Biden’s second son Hunter, during the 2020 presidential election.

In this regard, Zuckerberg sent a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (Republican, Ohio) on the 26th, stating that he regrets deleting information related to Hunter’s ‘Ukraine scandal’ from Facebook during the 2020 presidential election.

The allegation that Hunter introduced a Ukrainian energy company executive to his father, who was the Vice President, was deleted after Democrats accepted the claim that it was a Russian intelligence operation, but it was later revealed that it had no connection to Russia.

Zuckerberg also said he would not make election-related donations like he did four years ago.
